How many guests are allowed on board?
Federal Law limits the maximum amount of guests allowed on a Recreational Bareboat Charter is 13. Kids count towards the total of 13. The captain and crew DO NOT count. Please make sure we don’t have more than 13 as there are no exceptions. Each vessel has their own max passenger capacity which will be listed on the website.
Can I bring food and alcohol onboard?
Please make sure you bring with you whatever you wish to eat and drink. Please make sure you bring cups and plates if you feel you will need them. All charters and boats include ice and water. However, if you wish to request catering that can also be provided with adequate planning time.
Is smoking permitted on board?
MOST captains accept smoking in certain areas. All boats have banned smoking indoors. Hookah is strictly forbidden on all boats as it poses a fire and damage hazard.
How old do I have to be to rent?
You must be at least 21 years old to sign the bareboat agreement. Always consult with us first prior to booking.
Are children allowed on charters?
Can I choose the yacht's destination and anchor location?
This is subjective to the captain, most will consider and accept a reasonable request. It must be noted that vessels have operational restrictions that make some requests impossible.
Can we rent jet skis?
Jet skis are available for an additional $200 per hour, per ski. The jet skis will meet you out on the water while your yacht is anchored. To ride a jet ski you must be 18 years old with a valid Florida boaters safety education course or any equivalent certificate or be born before the date of January 1, 1988. Should I Tip the crew?
The total amount that you have paid for your charter does not include any gratuity / tip for the crew. If The Captain and First Mate do a great job ensuring your safety, comfort, & enjoyment. Please show your gratitude by tipping accordingly. Most brokers recommend a tip of 15% of the charter fee. The captain will make sure any tips are split accordingly with the crew.
What should I bring with me?
Most importantly, the charterer must bring their ID and a credit card for incidentals if a damage deposit hasn’t already been paid. Bring any food, alcohol and beverages you may want during your voyage. It is suggested you bring a towel, change of clothes, sunscreen, and any medicines you may need during the voyage. If you have allergies make sure you bring an epipen. Bringing a phone charger is a good idea as well.
Does the Yacht have speakers?
The yachts have a Bluetooth surround sound system for your enjoyment. A crew member will assist you in getting you connected. Once connected we will set the stereo at a safe volume. If the volume needs to be adjusted a crew member will assist you.
What happens if I arrive late to my charter?
The crew and yacht will be ready for you for the start of your contracted time. The yacht runs on a tight schedule and adjusting start times is not an option. Please try and arrive early.
